Biography of MATTEW A. MCCOLL, ESQ.
OF COUNSEL
MATT earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in History from the University of Hartford in 1998, and a Juris Doctorate from Western New England University School of Law in 2001. He continued his study of the law, earning an advanced degree (LL.M.) in Taxation from Boston University School of Law in 2002. MATT was admitted to the Massachusetts and Connecticut Bars in 2002. He has practiced law in Connecticut since 2002.
MATT's practice focuses on estate planning, representation of individual and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries in the administration of trusts and estates, preparation of federal and Connecticut estate and gift tax returns, and probate litigation. He also practices in the areas of residential and commercial real estate and corporate law. MATT recognizes that the practice of law is ultimately about helping people. He believes that it is important to explain complex legal matters to his clients in terms they can understand, so they can be fully aware of the processes and choices that they are undertaking.
MATT is a member of the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and has been recognized by New England Super Lawyers Magazine as a ‘Rising Star’ in the areas of Estate Planning and Probate and Real Estate law.
